A High Quality Backer Rod

Backer-rod, is a closed cell polyethylene foam cord in varying diameters from 6mm up to 75mm (larger sizes run on request) Used behind sealants and mastics in expansion joints. It allows the volume of sealant or mastic used to be minimized and hence reduce overall cost.

Backer-rod is an extruded closed cell expanded polyethylene cord which is CFC and HCFC free and does not absorb moisture. Backer-rod is reusable and can be 100% recycled. The expanded Polyethylene is chemically and physically neutral.
